I arrived roughly 35 minutes before closing and was worried if I would get served, but to my surprise I received the warmest welcome! Super friendly staff, really tasty food with great portion sizes and reasonable prices. The taste brought me back to japan which was a surprised that I wasn’t prepared for! Another must visit on my list for when I’m in town from now on!

Pleasant visit. I believe the meal i had was along the lines of ‘Sake Salmon…’
It’s a small place but quite nice, food was great, salmon excellent as per usual for a Japanese restaurant.
Rice was decent and atmosphere fine. There’s no issues hearing anyone despite how small it looks. The staff members were friendly but very quick to leave and didn’t seem interested in conversing. I presume it’s different for native Japanese visitors which i can fully understand, no issues but it’s nice when the staff make an extra effort to help.

I would recommend trying the place at least once if you can afford a little extra for lunch.

Ordered the Gyudon & Miso Soup combo as lunch special. This was GBP 15.50 without any other drink.
The beef was dry. Given it’s a lunch special, one would assume this would be made proper but this just felt way too dry. Maybe other dishes are better!

The place was packed during lunch. Although got a table within a minute. Service was quick and efficient.

We discovered this Japanese spot in Chinatown and absolutely fell in love with it!  😍
The prices are great, especially during lunchtime, and the portions are generous — including a delicious miso soup on the side 🥣🥣🥣
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better
We fell in love with their gyudon with onsen egg — it was absolutely delicious! 🍳🍳🍳

Somehow the only Japanese restaurant I noticed in Chinatown.

Went it at peak dinnertime but there was no queue. It looks family-owned! ❤️ The staff was nice and welcoming.

I oredered the tendon and it was good. There was broccolini included which surprised me! I never had that with tendon before.

The portions are huge compared to portions in Asia, well adjusted to western appetites perhaps?
